​Mizo Footballers and Online Gamers: A Match for The Frontline Warrior

Due to Covid-19, Mizoram have been closing all State and International borders. Aiding the precautions carried forth by the Government, voluntary groups have been camping out at the borders.

Among the volunteers was H. Lalvenmawii (18years) from Sangau village at Fungsihchhuah (Saisihchhuah), camping at the Myanmar border, who unfortunately contracted Malaria while on duty, causing her untimely demise on 9th June, 2020. The people of Mizoram have shared their sincere condolence for the deceased.

As a gesture of solidarity, inkhel.com came up with the idea of organising a PUBG Mobile exhibition match to honour the deceased patriot H. Lalvenmawii. Inkhel.com called upon the Mizo PUBG Mobile gamers, Mizo Professional Footballers and the matches were played on 14th June, 2020, during the live stream, people made online contributions in aid of H. Lalvenmawii.

The matches were live streamed through inkhel.com facebook page between 10-12 pm, during which a fair amount of sum was contributed. The livestream was also extended to other youtube channels where not less than 5000 people viewed the event. More so, viewers on inkhel.com Facebook stream reached 100k views. Gamers and the Mizo footballers enjoyed the game alike, the viewers too appreciated the professional matches.

The charity match was announced just 1 day prior to the matches during which a remarkable amount of Rs. 90,000 was contributed. This exhibition match was hosted by a Mizo streamer Lz Gaming, and Bz-a a gamer from RiP clan live streamed the match in his YouTube channel as well. Once again, the Mizo community showed outstanding unity in honouring the warriors at the frontlines.
