On June 14, 2015 enthusiastic members of the Mizo Chelsea Supporters' Club donated 21 units of blood at Aizawl Civil Hospital as a form of celebration for Chelsea FC's recent double victory in the English Premier League and League Cup.

More than 50 Chelsea fans turned up for this donation camp and after conducting several formality tests , 21 donors were able to donate blood to the hospital. A hardcore Manchester United fan Lalsangkima (Moris Hmar) and an ardent Arsenal supporter H. Lalhmingmawia (Amawia Hmar) were also among the donors.

It is no secret that football has it's roots deeply planted in the hearts of the Mizo people who have been fervent followers of European Football since the 1990s. One might say that almost every Mizo can be counted as a fan of one of the EPL clubs. Moreover, well organised football fan clubs have been formed over the years and these European Football supporters are not mere football lovers but people who, through the fan clubs, take active part in social welfare as a result of which blood donation has become a popular group activity for the different football fans club in Mizoram today.
